Mission Statement

The Eventide Singers are volunteers who offer songs of hope and comfort for the ill, homebound, dying, their families, and others who may benefit from the healing gift of music.

Easing the end of life journey with music is the Eventide Singers’ essential mission.

The Eventide Singers are volunteers who offer songs of hope and comfort for the ill, homebound, dying, their families, and others who may benefit from the healing gift of music.

Since our inception in 2007 by Mary Schreiber and John Bos, our reach into the community has steadily grown. Small ensembles of Eventide Singers offer comfort to hundreds of people at assisted living facilities, homes, hospitals and nursing homes throughout Franklin County.

As a full chorus we sing at noteworthy community events such as Veterans and Memorial Day, Hospice of Franklin County memorial services, and at private memorials.

“Eventide creates community in the most challenging times of our lives. Eventide has transformed a time of frustration, fear and pain into a time of celebration, truth and love of life … Eventide embodies joy and community when we are facing the intense loneliness and isolation that illness and dying bring.”
